Mikuni VM24 VM26 & VM28 Air Corrector Jets
Product Details

Air Corrector jets supplied for VM 24, 26 and 28mm round slide Mikuni's

on Kawasaki Z650,Z1,Z900,Z1000 and Suzuki GS 750,850,1000, GSX1000 Katana .

Must be fitted when ditching the airbox and running pods, velocity stacks or open carbs to cure the off idle flat spot and improve overall performance.

These are for use with pods, open carbs and velocity stacks … NOT to be used with airbox (unless it has been cut open and offers virtually no restriction)

They simply screw in the air bleed to needle jet tube in the mouth of the carb ( You tap this m5 at 8mm deep . No drilling required )

( They do NOT go in the pilot air bleed )..

Fit and forget then make adjustments as normal to the main jet to suit engine size/tune

Keep the jet needle in original position

If the jet needle has been lifted as usual in an attempt to mask the issue it MUST be returned to the stock position.

They compensate for the extra air flow and higher venturi pressure at low speeds that results when removing the airbox which then weakens the off idle mix and causes the flat spot and bogging at around 2000RPM..

Helps improve running throughout the rev range and gives an average increase of 2 to 6 HP overall … Also once fitted keep an eye on top end fueling as you may be able to drop the main jet a size to improve performance even further and get better Km per litre in with the deal.

Beware of using cheap pods as these can be restrictive. Use only good quality filters

See the attached pic to clarify the correct location of the air jets for VM slide carbs.

On the left pair they go in the 4 o'clock position and the right pair at 8 o'clock as highlighted in white in the pic.

This is the air bleed to the needle jet (emulsion ) tube..( NOT the pilot jet bleed )

Beware of some Kawasaki carb banks with just the FUEL mix screw underneath which were made up of all right hand or all left hand carb bodies and do not have an air mix screw on the side but just a blank.

In this case the jet bleed will be either all 4 o'clock or all 8 o'clock..

Whatever the case this bleed is always opposite the pilot air bleed whether it is blank or not
